D'Angelo Russell
D'Angelo Russell is a professional basketball player who currently plays as a point guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on February 23, 1996, in Louisville, Kentucky, and played college basketball for one year at Ohio State University before being selected as the second overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2015 NBA Draft.
Russell played two seasons for the Lakers, where he showed flashes of brilliance as a playmaker and scorer. In 2017, he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, where he continued to improve and was named an NBA All-Star in the 2018-19 season.
In 2019, Russell was traded to the Golden State Warriors, but only played one season there before being traded again, this time to the Minnesota Timberwolves in February 2020.
Russell is known for his smooth shooting stroke, court vision, and playmaking abilities, and has been compared to NBA legends like Magic Johnson and Kobe Bryant. He has also had some off-court controversies, including a highly publicized incident in which he recorded and leaked a private conversation with a teammate without his consent.
